Dwell Here: A Book for Dreamers and Wanderers. A handmade book is more than a place to sketch, gather bits and record thoughts. It is a place where we can play, rest and linger in our inner world. In the pages of this sanctuary, we can dwell as long as we like. This mixed media long-stitch book can become whatever you want it to be; a travelogue, an art experiment log, a place to dream, wonder or wander. In this class you will create a beautiful painted and stitched cover using Liz’s Impavida Sketch, Paint and Stitch technique. You can create signatures (book pages) with a variety of papers to customize the book to your desires. We will add fabric signature wraps and learn how to use fusible web to eliminate the mess of glues as we add both paper and fabric to our books. No experience necessary. Join Liz to learn just how fun it is to make your own special dwelling place! Your class kit — a $30 fee paid directly to the instructor the morning of class — includes the following: waxed linen thread, Mistyfuse Fusible Lightweight Webbing; chenille needle; precut book board; precut mixed media paper; Impavida prepped fabric and transfer paper.
