ByAnnie “Flipping Out” Bag with Marta Spinella
Saturday, November 30, 2024
10:30 am - 4:30 pm, ½ hour lunch break

Join us for the latest addition to our Fifth Saturday ByAnnie series! These sturdy cases, in two sizes, store and carry pens and pencils, sewing tools, knitting needles, and more. Soft and Stable® provides great body and stability and ensures that the cases stand up and hold their shape. When open, the cases convert into desktop stands by folding down their tops, allowing easier access and visibility of contents without sacrificing stability. Mesh pockets on the inside help organize supplies; cases zip shut for safe and secure storage.
Attend our free Prep & Shopping session on Saturday, November 16 (Marta will be available 2:00 - 3:30 pm) to purchase your required Flipping Out pattern as well as a) pick the fabrics you will use for your bag or B) bring your selected fabrics so you can match the required By Annie materials necessary for this project prior to the November 30 class. Experience level: Students must have basic sewing skills and knowledge of their sewing machine (this is not an introduction to sewing or a beginning sewing class.) Registrants should have some previous experience of ByAnnie bag making (how to quilt Soft & Stable, how to cut bias binding, etc.) for optimal success in this class.

About the Instructor: Marta has been embroidering, tatting, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and quilting on and off for the better part of her life, inheriting her passion for thread, yarn, and fibers from her maternal grandmother, who initiated her on many arts despite sharing only few years of her life. Marta has been an enthusiastic ByAnnie maker for a few years now, and looks forward to sharing her love of these patterns with Artistic Artifacts students.
