Full kit provided, including collage paper and use of Finnabair’s paints, mediums and more! Do you like collecting ephemera, vintage images and findings, and you have a soft spot for a touch of nostalgia in your art? Would you like to combine traditional collaging and scrapbooking techniques with mixed-media products and beautiful-looking effects? Would you like to work on a collage project or altered frame that will honor your memories or a special person, or simply play with a vintage look, layering, and dimensional composition? Grungy Nostalgia — suitable for both advanced and beginning students — is perfect for you; a great transition from the world of cardmaking, junk journaling and scrapbooking into an exciting realm of mixed-media! During this class, we will build beautiful layers, starting with exciting collage background ideas, going through dimensional compositions based on embellishments and found objects, and finally working on colors based on my favorite Art Alchemy Paints, Waxes and Effects. You will be working with premium-quality 7 Dots Studio scrapbooking papers, beautiful embellishments, and the best art mediums, and you will learn how to pull them all together to get a stunning, well-balanced, and inspiring look. You will be encouraged to include your treasures in the composition and get a lot of freedom in your color and finish choices to get the result you will love and cherish. About the Instructor: Anna Dabrowska, also known as Finnabair, was born in Warsaw, Poland and now lives in Ireland. Creating since 2007, she is a full time designer, teacher and mixed media artist, art journaler (and more) who loves new challenges, experiments and developing new techniques and skills. “My projects are texture and art medium-based: I make paper and canvas layouts, collages and altered art, tags, journal pages – and many more,” she says. “I believe in power of recycling and upcycling and just adore texture, paints of any kind and flea market supplies.
