ByAnnie Easy Does It with Katherine Nichols

We are continuing our ‘Fifth Saturday ByAnnie Class’ series on June 29 with the “Easy Does It” pattern. These fun and handy zippered bags, with attached handles, conveniently corral and carry essentials — for sewing, crafting, travel, or work. In class you will make a 6-in. high x 9-in. wide x 4.25-in. deep bag and learn how to install ByAnnie zippers and cover seams with binding so the bags look professional enough to give as quick, easy, and useful gifts. This class is for experienced beginners: students should have basic sewing skills and knowledge of their sewing machine (this is not an introduction to sewing or a beginning sewing class.). Your registration fee includes a kit with the pattern, gray zipper, and the Soft-and-Stable foam needed to make the project — you will bring your own fabrics and thread (students may instead choose to purchase a different color ByAnnie zipper to match their fabric). Note: Students may reserve a shop-provided BERNINA sewing machine but must email their request when registering for the class. You must be familiar with sewing on a BERNINA machine; the instructor will not be able to help you learn how to use the store model during class.
About the Instructor: Artistic Artifacts staffer Katherine Nichols is a life-long sewist and avid quilter. Katherine enjoys teaching (she leads our BERNINA Mastery classes and BERNINA Skill Building sessions) and sharing her love of fibers and fabrics with others!
