The new All Blue Ridge Shop Hop too place May 1 through June 30, including quilt shops from Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina. Thank you to those who took the opportunity to explore more than 90 stores across the region — including ours — we always enjoy participating in the premier events put on by Shop Hop Inc. and look forward to welcoming new hoppers each year!

The information and maps on participating stores, free patterns, inspiring articles and more makes this a useful resource all year round! Regional and state maps are included in the All Blue Ridge Shop Hop Magazine to help you plan your routes. Artistic Artifacts is located in Alexandria, VA, minutes from the historic district of Old Town Alexandria, one of the Condé Nast Top 3 Best Small Cities in the US. and a wonderful arts destination. While not part of the hop, our location is also very close to Washington DC, with its exceptional lineup of museums, monuments and more.
Besides all the fun of traveling through the states that are home to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and visiting the shops, participants can also win prizes — participating stores and industry sponsors provide a huge number of prizes, with all winners selected randomly. Your official passport — found in the All Blue Ridge Shop Hop Magazine — is required to qualify for prize drawings. All winners are selected by random drawing from the prize levels where they qualify.
!Artistic Artifacts is open our regular hours (which includes Sundays) for participation during the Shop Hop. We also welcome participants in the All Mid Atlantic Shop Hop — Artistic Artifacts is located is right across the river from a number of the shops — or other shop hops: visit when you are in the area and let us know when you come in. We might just have a few gifts left for hoppers!

Many quilters hop with a group of guild friends or as part of a family vacation. They’re not just shopping — they’re making memories as they travel around an area together. Shop Hoppers not only get to visit sewing stores, they also enjoy traveling through both large and small towns, discovering places they may have never visited before. Someone along for the ride may visit a local antique store or boutique while hoppers are visiting a sewing store. Our area has so much to offer friends and families who are shop hopping!
