Artistic Artifacts Metallics Challenge Results

We are so excited about the results of our Mixed Media Metallics Challenge, which we are hanging in the shop in preparation for Saturday’s opening. There are more than 100 entries, many of which are available for auction. We hope you will join us for the unveiling; our invitation — and sneak preview photos — are below! And please help us spread the word publicizing the exhibit and silent auction. We want the work of these many talented artists to reach the widest audience possible! Join Us: Mixed Media Metallics Exhibition & Auction!

Artistic Artifacts in Alexandria, VA sells new products and vintage/found objects for the contemporary fiber and mixed media artist. Its latest art challenge requested submissions of 8" x 10" mixed media creations celebrating the shine of metallics. Join us to view more than 100 entries—and bid to own a one of a kind piece of art! Many artists contributed their work to our silent auction, with proceeds benefitting Food for Others. There are art quilts, collages, jewelry and more in a stunning range of styles and colors, all created using a wide variety of innovative techniques and products.

Saturday, January 18: Exhibit Opens, Artists Reception, 3:00 to 8:00 pm
Entries will be on display during Artistic Artifacts regular business hours through:

Admission to the Mixed Media Metallics exhibit is a contribution of non-perishable food to our food drive, also benefitting Food for Others. Please be generous! The mission of Food for Others is to obtain and distribute free food to the hungry of Northern Virginia, and support food programs of other community-based organizations.
