Create your own art doll! We used the pattern and directions published in The Ultimate Guide to Transfer Artist Paper by Lesley Riley (book is not included in this kit) for our participation in the Instagram book tour that celebrated the book’s release, and created our original kits (since sold out) in response to requests for them after our blog and video were published. This updated kit includes one sheet of Transfer Artist Paper (TAP) that has been preprinted with a variety of faces and imagery, ready to transfer onto the doll base you create with the included white muslin — see TAP usage FAQs on Lesley Riley’s website. (If you have not purchased the book, you can draft your own simple stump doll shape.) The fun comes with the decorating: your kit includes a variety of fabrics (including hand dyed) and embellishments such as ribbon, packets of beads and vintage buttons, floss to stitch with (or wrap around), even a handful of poly stuffing. Add your own fabrics and threads to create your unique fragment doll and challenge yourself with the surprise of these color-themed kits.
