Painter’s Threads Shimmer Floss, 10 meters (approximately 33 feet) per spool, is a soft braided tape made of rayon with a touch of metallics, which can be used for a wide variety of purposes and is very easy to work with. (Formerly known as Shimmer Blend RibbonFloss). The shimmer effect is created by a metallic thread that is braided in the middle. Shimmer can be used for classic silk ribbon work; any stitch looks particularly beautiful with it and experiments in free textile work succeed particularly well with it. Due to its special construction, it can be laid flat and overcast without much effort, and if you pull on one or more of the braiding threads, the ribbon will ruffle!
