    Tentakulum Silk Ribbon examplePainter’s Threads Silk Ribbons, available in two widths, 4mm and 7mm, and 40 handpainted colors, are made from a Japanese silk that is known to be especially beautiful, creating fine, soft ribbons. These ribbons are woven, not cut, amd do not fray easily. Use for traditional silk ribbon embroidery (they make beautiful flowers and leaves), ruching, folding and trellis techniques — or experiment using them with other textile techniques.
