Collage Stories with Seth Apter
Saturday, September 20, 2025
10:30 am – 4:30 pm, ½ hour lunch break
Location: Upstairs classroom (access via stairs only)
Updated August 4: “My definition of collage is taking individual elements that were not meant to be together and joining them into a cohesive whole that tells a story,” says Seth. “In this one-day workshop, we will take a less-is-more approach to create a painted background and a more-is-more approach to blend and layer fragments of paper and fabric. These elements will literally be tied together with hand stitching. An emphasis will be placed on developing an intuitive composition, creating texture within the layers, and leaning into our own personal styles and stories.” Kit fee: $10, payable directly to Seth. Students will work in a 5.5 in. x 8 in. journal, provided by Seth. Download your PDF student supply list now »
