An Evening with Seth Apter: One Layer Away
Friday, September 18, 2026
5:00 pm - on for special shopping hours | lecture at 7:00 pm in our downstairs classroom
Join us for one of our favorite evenings of the year: Seth always shares gorgeous quilt and mixed media art samples with his audience, and we can’t wait to get the stories behind his latest fabric collection, One Layer Away — available for pre-order now! “Every artistic creation — whether it is a painting or a quilt — is made piece by piece, layer by layer,,, my mantra has been that an artist is always only One Layer Away from magic. The 18 designs in this collection were created to offer you the tools to find your very own magic,” shares Seth. Don’t miss this fascinating evening — seats are limited! Your $35 ticket includes the following:
- Special shopping hours after 5:00 pm, with appetizers, drinks and extra discounts!
- Attendance at An Evening with Seth Apter, 7:00 pm in our first level classroom as he shares more on the process of translating his artwork into beautiful fabric. “You will find marks in the form of symbols, letters, drips, splats, lines, color swatches, and the like,” shares Seth. “My hope is that these designs enable you to create something that is all your own and make your mark in your own creative world.”
- Q & A — Have a question for Seth? Email your suggestion — if we use your question, you might win a door prize!
A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to Food for Others, and we ask of those that are able to bring food donations to our shop for donating to this worthy cause. Feel free to bring show & tell projects that you’ve created in any of the many of the past classes we’ve hosted with Seth (or from his online classes and tutorials) to share with Seth and our staff!
