Hand-Selected by Judy Gula in Jaipur, India
This classic handwoven ikat fabric was personally hand-selected by Artistic Artifacts owner Judy Gula during her March 2020 tour of Jaipur, India. Ikat is one of the world’s oldest and most revered textile traditions — each length of fabric is dyed using a resist-dyeing technique applied to the threads before weaving, creating the characteristic soft-edged, painterly patterns that make every piece unique.
Indian ikat cotton has a notably softer hand feel than its Indonesian counterpart, making it especially well-suited for garments worn close to the skin.

Perfect For
The deep indigo and white palette gives this fabric a timeless, artisan quality reminiscent of traditional resist-dyed textiles from across South Asia. Use it for garments — blouses, dresses, kimonos, and scarves — as well as quilting, home décor, and mixed-media art projects. Its classic colorway pairs beautifully with white, cream, and natural linen tones.
As a handwoven textile, slight variations in width, color, and pattern are a natural part of its artisan character.
