A Rare Handcrafted Textile from the Heart of Java
This richly toned sarong is the work of master batik artisans at the Pandono Abstract workshop in Surakarta (Solo), Indonesia — one of the world’s most celebrated centers of traditional batik craft. Each piece is individually hand drawn using the tulis technique, in which hot wax is applied by hand with a fine copper pen (canting) before dyeing, making every sarong a completely unique work of textile art.

Endless Possibilities
The grounded warmth of this sarong’s brown palette makes it a natural fit for interior textiles, fiber art, and wearable design. Use it as a sophisticated resort wrap, a striking wall hanging, a richly textured quilt backing, or a statement piece in any mixed-media project. Its earthy tones pair beautifully with natural fibers and neutral palettes.
Because each sarong is individually hand drawn, slight variations in color and pattern are part of its handmade beauty and authenticity.
