Vintage American Bricks by Halsam, manufactured in the 1920/1930 era, sold per 2 oz. bag. These are the original wooden style, mostly painted red but with some gold bricks included. These toy pieces interlocked similar to Lego blocks, and featured a distinctive vertical grooving on the outer faces to simulate brickwork, each stamped with the American Bricks name.
