Beaded Bezels with Amy Castine
Saturday, August 22, 2026
10:30 am–4:30 pm (1/2 hour for lunch)
Join us for a new beading class with Amy and learn the peyote bezel shown in Liz Kettle's book, First Time Beading on Fabric, plus two additional Bezeling techniques! Each bezel will take approximately two hours to complete. Your $25 kit fee is included in your registration and includes all beading supplies needed. “An assortment of bead sizes and colors will be available,” Amy writes, “but since we all work best with different beads, folks are welcome to bring beads that suit them.” Amy’s previous Beginning Beading class is not a prerequisite for this class, but a beginning knowledge of beading is helpful so you can immediately begin working. And if you have previously taken Amy’s class, this new class is an ideal opportunity to bring your in-progress beaded book and add a bezeled cabochon to the cover (examples shown here! If there is a certain type of cabochon you want to bezel in the future, bring it along and Amy can help you plan the best method to do so. Students should bring the following supplies: First-Time Beading on Fabric by Liz Kettle. (A bead mat and triangle sorting trays are highly recommended.)
