Big Bold Collage Blooms with Jennifer Wilkin Penick
Saturday, November 14, 2026
10:30 am - 1:30 pm
Location: Upstairs classroom (access via stairs only)

In this workshop, Jennifer Wilkin Penick will walk you through different techniques, starting with flower-brainstorming, with participants designing a series of their own “big bold blooms.” Jennifer will explain several fun collage techniques for using painted paper to create your original collage flowers, and will demonstrate making and using templates, allowing students to create multiple originals of favorite designs. Each participant will create a series of bold colorful original collage blooms, and will leave with two matted and ready for framing!
Student Supply List: please bring scissors and you choice of adhesive (glue stick, gel medium, or ModPodge) with you to class. Jennifer will provide paper punches, pencils and tracing paper for use in class. Your class kita $15 fee paid directly to Jennifer the morning of class, includes paper substrates for collages, a painted paper collage paper pack and more — materials so you can continue to complete collaged blooms at home!
Suitable for all levels, Big Bold Collage Blooms will sharpen your collage skills and teach you various collage approaches (freestyle design, using templates, adapting an image that you have seen and liked to collage). This is an easy project to continue working on at home and your class kit will ensure that you have enough paper to do so!
