Snazzy Sneakers with Susanne Miller Jones (Register by January 28)
Saturday, February 28, 2026
9:00 am–4:30 pm, ½ hour lunch break
Location: downstairs classroom

Step into style with this unique and creative workshop led by Susanne! In this class, you'll learn how to turn a simple quilted sandwich made from fat quarters (completed prior to class) into a fabulous, one-of-a-kind pair of quilted sneakers. From the sole up, you’ll stitch, shape, and strut your way through the process — walking away with handmade kicks that are as bold and original as you are! Your registration fee includes the $60 cost of the sneaker soles and a supply kit from Susanne.
     Download your Student Info sheet
— this provides your student supply list, tells you how to determine your EU sole size, and shares Susanne’s Frequently Asked Questions about this exciting class. (If you still have questions after reviewing Susanne’s FAQs, you may email her.)

Note: you MUST email your sole size and color choice to Susanne by Wednesday, January 28 so she can order the required sneaker soles from Europe in time for class. As these soles are custom ordered, we cannot accept class cancellations after January 28.

Plan to join us for this fun class that will have everyone complimenting your one of a kind sneakers!

About the Instructor: Susanne Miller-Jones is an art quilter whose work is highly textured and realistic. She is the curator of Fly Me to the Moon, (art quilts made by artists from eight countries celebrating the moon walk), HERstory: A Celebration of Strong Women, (artists from seven countries highlighting women’s achievements since they got the right to vote) and OURstory: Human Rights Stories in Fabric, (artists from six countries celebrating diversity and the story of rights gained). “Providing the opportunity for other artists to shine through exhibits and publications gives me great joy,” she writes.
