Get Going Sewing Quilted Jackets with Fit for Art with Fit for Art

With Sewing Quilted Patchwork Jackets: Four Approaches, Ten Distinctive Designs, Two Downloadable Patterns by Rae Cumbie and Carrie Emerson of Fit for Art Patterns as your bible, enjoy two inspiring days in the Artistic Artifacts classroom as you choose a design, fit, fabric and all the details for your own quilted jacket or one to be given as a gift. Plan to spend the first day working on a mock-up if you have not sewn with Fit for Art’s jacket patterns before. We will finish the day with a discussion of the jacket of your dreams and get right to it on day two. Whether you are sewing a kids or adult jacket or vest, you might not get finished, but you will be on your way to a fabulous quilted coat. We will wrap up the second day looking at seams and finishes to help you construct a great garment that will last a lifetime! Student Supply List to come.
About the Instructors: Rae Cumbie and Carrie Emerson are the founders of Fit for Art Patterns whose Four Core Wardrobe patterns and Variations come from their desire to create comfortable and creative clothing that fits all figures and today’s busy lifestyles. Since 2011 they have been teaching across the US, both virtually and in-person, about fitting and the creative use of sewing patterns to add unique and personalized garments to any woman’s wardrobe.
